The Tchicumina II Thermal Power Station was planned in 2016 as part of the reinforcement of the generation capacity of the City of Saurimo with an injection of 19.6MW.

 It is equipped with (7) seven model 16V228GSE generator sets, with a unit capacity of 2.8MW, 11kV and 50Hz. The infrastructure comprises an administrative building, workshop, laboratory, pump building, treatment building and fuel storage park.
